How the register is built
InfraDefence records 134 financings and 172 investment and M&A deals from 2015 to 2026. This page explains what counts, where it comes from and how it is checked.
Publish rule
A deal is published only when it is confirmed in an official or issuer document (a stock exchange or SEC filing, a company or regulator release, a government notice), or by two independent reputable reports. Every record lists its sources, and law firm websites are never used as a source.
Two sections
Financings are money raised as debt or from governments and export credit agencies. Investments and M&A covers acquisitions, mergers, stake sales, joint ventures, listings and equity rounds. The two are never added together, so debt totals and deal values stay comparable.
Financing types
- Bond. Senior, hybrid and secured notes and Eurobonds.
- Convertible. Convertible and exchangeable notes.
- Bank facility. Revolving, term and syndicated facilities.
- Acquisition finance. Debt raised to fund an acquisition.
- Export credit. Export credit agency loans, guarantees and direct lending.
- Government finance. EU, EIB, national and Office of Strategic Capital money.
- Customer prepayment. Customer-funded capex and prepayments.
Amounts and currencies
Amounts are shown in the currency of the deal. US$ equivalents and totals use approximate annual average exchange rates. Multi-tranche bonds are recorded as one financing with every tranche listed. Programme-level and conditional commitments (for example EU SAFE allocations and Office of Strategic Capital conditional loans) are listed but excluded from funded totals.
Equity rounds
Venture and growth rounds come from company announcements and SEC Form D filings. A Form D figure is the amount sold under the exemption, not the headline round size. Where a company has announced the round, the announced round is used.
Updates and corrections
